Brean Murray, Carret & Co. Expands Research Team with Experienced Healthcare Analyst

NEW YORK, NY) – Brean Murray, Carret & Co. is pleased to announce that Jose J. Haresco, Ph.D. has joined the firm’s Equity Research department as Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst in the Healthcare research group.

Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Dr. Haresco will conduct proprietary industry
thematic and company-specific research in the medical technology sector. While associated with
Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. for nearly four years, Dr. Haresco covered cardiology, aesthetics,
and orthopaedics/spine companies. Previously, Jose worked as senior associate analyst in the
Healthcare area of C.E. Unterberg Towbin’s Corporate Finance department.

Dr. Haresco brings to his proprietary research real world experience as a former scientist
and manager with positions at Roche Molecular Sciences in Pleasanton, California and Acumen
Sciences in San Francisco, California. Additionally, Jose and two other research scientists were
awarded a U.S. patent for ground-breaking work at the University of California at San Francisco.
