Jeff Sacher joins Brean Murray, Carret as Head of Healthcare Investment Banking

Brean Murray, Carret & Co., a leading full-service investment banking and financial services firm, is pleased to announce that Jeff Sacher has joined the firm as Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group. Mr. Sacher will head BMC’s Healthcare industry practice, focusing on biotechnology, medical devices and healthcare information services. Throughout his career, Mr. Sacher has advised healthcare clients on a range of transactions including public offerings, private placements, private equity offerings, raid defense and strategic M&A.

Mr. Sacher has more than 15 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sacher served as Managing Director and Co-Head of the Life Sciences practice at Needham & Company where he was responsible for group strategy, origination and execution of corporate finance and M&A advisory transactions. Prior to Needham, Mr. Sacher spent two years as a CFO for ViaCell, a stem cell biotechnology company, and eight years as a senior banker in Goldman Sachs' Healthcare Group, where he closed over 30 deals as a lead advisor on both corporate finance and M&A transactions. Mr. Sacher also worked as a bench scientist at Harvard Medical School. Mr. Sacher received his BA in Biology from Cornell University and his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
